Simultaneous Interpretation System
Telecor's Simultaneous Interpretation System enables multiple translated languages to be transmitted via infrared to delegates throughout a conference facility. The system is available in 2 or 4 channels, each channel distributing a separate language. The system can be used independently or combined with Telecor's Conference Systems, providing a total solution for any facility.

The Simultaneous Interpretation System consists of the following:

TWIR TX900 Four-Channel Language Distribution System
The Telecor TWIR TX900 is a Four-Channel Language Distribution System that  utilizes infrared transmission. The system is used in conjunction with Telecor Interpreter Control Centers (TIC-1s) to broadcast up to four translated languages. Receivers (TWIR RX12-4) are used by the conference or audience members to select and listen to the language of their choice through headphones.

The TWIR TX900 system is comprised of two, dual-channel TMOD 232 Modulators, providing four simultaneous channels, and two TWIR TX9 Emitter Panels. Additional Emitter Panels may be added to expand the area of coverage for large conference venues.
TIC-1 Interpreter's Control Center
The Telecor Interpreter’s Control Center (TIC-1) is a self-contained audio control center that allows an interpreter to monitor and interpret a language signal for broadcast to another language group. Used as a stand-alone unit, the TIC–1 is capable of handling dual language applications for sequential or simultaneous interpretation. Used in tandem, multiple TIC-1s may be combined to handle up to four languages for simultaneous interpretation.

TWIR RX12-4 Receiver
The TWIR RX12-4 is an easy-to-use wireless receiver designed to allow its user to hear one of four language signals transmitted via infrared.

With the wireless receivers, the delegates have the freedom of unrestricted movement throughout the hall, and yet can receive the signal transmission from any location within the room. The number of delegates able to receive the signals from the infrared system is theoretically unlimited. A high level of security is ensured as infrared signals cannot pass through walls, remaining in the confines of the room.

Telecor offers two headphone types for use with the receiver: the conventional dual-ear headphone style, and the under-the-chin headphone style.
