Mississauga, Ontario and Eatontown, New Jersey, -- October 15, 2002 --
Telecor today announced the establishment of an alliance with
Eatontown-based Quintum Technologies, a worldwide vendor of voice-over-IP
technologies. Under terms of the agreement, Quintum is providing Tenor®
VoIP switch products for the Telecor VS1 PBX system, and the Telecor factory
is certifying the interoperability of the interface with Quintums Tenor®
product line.
Quintums Tenor product line is noted for
providing high quality voice communications and a risk-free migration path
for VoIP solutions. The Quintum Tenor addresses the main concerns customers
have with deploying VoIP. The Tenors unique MultiPath architecture
makes it the easiest solution to install in the industry. Its patented
SelectNet feature assures voice quality by monitoring the QoS of every
call and transparently switching calls to the PSTN in real time whenever the
IP network cannot support a high quality voice call. Combine this with
Telecors full-featured VS1 PBX system, and Telecor dealers have a
solution that combines two superior products which they can offer to their
customers.
"Telecor is excited about this new
alliance with Quintum," stated Peter Jova, President of Telecor, Inc.
"In the past 10 months, there has been more pressure on our VS1 dealers
to provide a VoIP solution. The Tenor product will allow our dealers to
compete in the VoIP world without having to make a huge investment. Our
confidence in the integration is also leading us to install the product to
connect our headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario to our offices in Chicago,
Niagara Falls and the UK."
"Telecor will be a great partner,"
commented Chuck Rutledge, VP Marketing of Quintum Technologies. "The
Telecor VS1 PBX addresses a very important segment of the market with a
full-featured system, and Quintum is very pleased to be the VoIP solution
for Telecor customers."
